Hi, I have a brand new Dell Pentium 4 with standard 512 MB of RAM. For the
first couple of months I had no probs with capturing footage off my DVD Sony
camera into moviemaker via Sony capturing and editing program. Now I am
having trouble saving even small movie files. It Hangs and crashes as soon as
I try to save. Checking the Event Viewer it seems that the faulting app is
Movie maker, the faulting module is ntdll.dl, version 5.1.2600.2180, fault
address 0x00018fea.

The Dr Watson debugger also faults, the module faulting is dbghelp.dll,
fault address 0x0001295d. I am not sure if this is connected or symptomatic
of a larger problem.

Any Help or suggestions of where else to look out there??

First, try forgetting about the Sony Picture Package Program and
capture directly with MovieMaker.
