Unable to restore pst file on outlook 2000 after using 2003 demo

What I have
- outlook achive (pst file) in 2003 format
- outlook 2000

What I don't have
- outlook 2003

How do I import the file? I get the error "Properties for
this information service must be defined first.".
 
You will need to set your system clock back to a date where the Office 2003
demo will still work, reinstall Outlook 2003, and use it to create a Outlook
97-2002 format .PST file...then copy or move all your items from the 2003
..PST to the older format .PST. Then you'll be able to use the old format
..PST with Outlook 2000. Also, don't import from a .PST file into Outlook --
just open the file using File | Open.

Thanks for the help. I'll try this approach. I was hoping
for an upgraded version of scanpst that did the trick,
but it does not seem to be the case.
 
Scanpst.exe is a repair tool, not a conversion tool :-) A conversion tool
is a request that's been made very frequently since Outlook 2003 was in beta
testing, though, so maybe we'll see one come along one of these days.
