I have 2 computers (both Win XP SP2) connected by a LAN, and each with a
modem. I had one set up to act as the host so either could connect to the
ISP through it. That system worked OK Then I made a temporary change so
that each modem connected directly to the ISP (that is neither was connected
via the LAN), and that worked OK as well. Several days later I reset the
modems to go back to the original setup, both computers connecting thru one
host.
After making this last change, my LAN came up as limited or no connectivity,
however the repair option yielded "Windows could not finish repairing the
problem because the following action cannot be completed: Renewing your IP
address. For assistance, contact the person who manages your network."
Unfortunately, that person is me, and I have no idea how to repair the
problem.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thx
