Unable to remove a suspected Spyware program

My PC running win98 has a program that appears to have
hikacked the browser. I was able to remove the .exe file
but the program appears to have become imbedded in the OS.
The following is what I have seen.
EQBAMXM C:\SQRLVLEG.EXE I did a search on Google and
nothing comes up. Any idea what this is?

I'll look into Hijack this. The problem is that I found
the .exe and deleted it, however it reappeared in the
registry and when I tried to remove it, it said program
in use by Microsoft. I seem to have stopped it by the
removal of the .exe but it is still in the registry. The
program is called SQRLVLEG.exe and has another program
called EQBAMXM that I was able to get out of the
registry. All this from a pop up! Thanks for the help.
 
Since you know what you are looking for, I'd recommend restarting in safe
mode--and both scanning with the tools you have, including Microsoft
Antispyware, and looking for the stuff by hand. It should not be loaded,
and thus not busy--in safe mode, in most cases.
