I'm having quite a strange problem with Outlook 2k version 9.0.0.2711.
This is in a corporate LAN environment in which I'm using a POP3
server with win2k.
Problem Description: Usually at least once a day my outlook mail (not
exchange) stops sending and receiving email with the following error
code.
*Unable to connect to the server. (Account:
'propermailservername.com',SMTP Server: 'propermailservername.com',
Error Number: 0x800ccc0e).*
Problem Fix: The only way I am able to send mail is to either 1 close
outlook and reopen it, and if that doesn't work I have to remove and
then re-add my mail account via tools options accounts. This is the
only way my mail will start working. I have triple verified that all
my settings are as they should. And because simply removing and
adding back my account info fixes the problem, all I can gather is
that this is some kind of corrupt account or something of that nature
that is software based. Also note that at all times I am able to ping
my pop3 mail server with good responses.
If anyone knows how to resolve this issue that would be greatley
appreciated as I'm at a loss for new ideas besides backing up my mail
saved on my HD and blowing out outlook or the pst file or whatever.
Thanks,
Jai
