I purchased a lap top. I have a tower working with no problem. My internet
service/broadband. I have been trying to set my e-mail in the lap top with
no success. My mail is coming in on the tower computer but not on the new
one. I have tried to copy the pop3 settings and put in the new computer, as
best I can tell I have. My tower is XP and the lap top is vista.

I read one comment about transferring/coping the e-mail address to the new
computer, I would also like to know how to transfer information from one to
the other.

On your XP computer, in Outlook Express go to Tools, Accounts, select
the mail account, then click Export. It will save the account data in a .IAF file.
Use a flash drive (USB key) or similar device to carry that file over to your
Vista computer, go to the same screen in Windows Mail, click Import.

this worked a treat. was having same problem till I read this. Still have to
close application tho before mail sends. thanks for your help.

With all these complaints it must be the Windows Vista software.I had a hard
time going on line with my router NetGear.I needed 3 people to correct it and
last one told me it's glitches in Vista.

I'm contacting them again tomorrow and see if it's the problem with e-mail.

Thanks for the feedback.
