Unable to Raed DCD Rom Data Disc

Hello,
I am unable to install software from DVD ROM . From the drive I can Read
movies, CD burn disc. I just can't put a software DVD-ROM disc and get it
read. The light on the drive turn on and nothing happens.

What can be the problem ?
