Unable to purge - delete certain web site addresses

I am unable to delete or purge crertain web site addresses
from my IE 6.0. If I type http://www.a I get a drop down
menu of some but not all the web sites I visited that
start with "a". If I type "ab" only those that start with
ab appear. I have tried to get rid of these but can't do
it. I have tried all the normal ways and
also "HistoryKILL", but that doesn't do it either. Any
