I am experiencing the same issue as others here in the group. When I click
on the "Send/Receive" button, a pop-up window appears immediately with no
error message, just blank. However on the task tab, it lists my email
accounts. When I click on the drop down arrow and choose either Send All or
Recieve All, then it successfully POPS or SENDS. When I create an email, it
will also send when I choose that option. It is the inability to POP and
SEND at the same time as well as not being able to POP and SEND at the same
time per given intervals in the Options/General tab. This is a flaw in
Windows Mail. It most likely has something to do with an update, because up
until a few days ago it was mostly working fine except that I would get a
few "dumb-dumb" bells (sound notifications of new mail when there was not
any). My Inbox and Outbox folders are empty, so there is no "stuck" email.
AntiVirus has nothing to do with it, as I have taken troubleshooting
measures including but not limited to uninstalling/reinstalling my antivirus
software. As I said, it is a flaw in Windows Mail most likely due to a
recent update. I tried my POPing with Mozilla Thunderbird and everything
worked perfectly.
If anyone can reslove this issue, please post the solution immediately. It
is, I repeat, not an antivirus issue.
