Hi,

I've got a problem: every time I try to play a video from
the web Windows Media Player hangs. When, after beeing
asked, sending the error message I get a popup telling me
to click a link for more information (see below):

"Thank you for submitting an error report. The error was
likely caused by:

MPEG Encoder

MainConcept AG is the manufacturer. An update is available
that may correct the problem you reported. To obtain the
update, click on the below link and download MPEG Encoder
(MainConcept MPEG Encoder 1.3.1 for Windows) from the
MainConcept AG Web site.

http://www.mainconcept.com/downloads.shtml#anchor"

Installing this doesn't help at all. Does anyone has a
solution for the problem?

Rgds, Allard

Are the videos compatable with wmp,or real-player.
If wmp,try going to event-viewer in ADM. for details, also
in the player, tools, options, edit the tabs as needed,in
file types tab,select all.
Outside of windows update,or microsoft.com you shouldnt
see any fixes or updates for XP being offered,if you do
theyre probably not from microsoft.

Hi,

The types are compatible. They are just .mpg files. But
the funny thing is some .mpg's do play and others jam my
mediaplayer. Any suggestions?

Rgds.
