I was using publisher for the first time in a long while the other day and it
needed to install a componant that wasn't installed. I droped in a disc that
I thought was the 03 disc. The isntall window came up and asked if wanted to
install. I oked and it installed. Only I installed from the old 2000 program
disc. Realizing my mistake I deleted the 2000 install through controll panel.
Now when I start Outlook 03 I get the "Unable to open your default e-mail
folders. Create a new profile by ------------" message. I have tried setting
up new mail profiles in control panel using my username, random names &
archive. Nothing worked. I uninstalled the Outlook 03 component using change
in conrol panel and reinstalled it. No good? The pst is intact and appears to
be uncorrupted. Could this be a registry problem?

Thanks
Ron

Was actually able to resolve by selecting "prompt for a profile to be used"
from the control panel/mail/show profiles then selecting one of the new
profiles. I then had to rename my exiting pst to match the new profile pst
file. for some reason the new profile was not being selected when I selected
"always use this profile" as most of the corrections listed here indicated
