I can open other webs that I've used before, but when I try a new one I get
the message "The folder www.nceft.org isn't accessible. The folder may be
located in an unavailable location, protected with a password, or the
filename contains a / or \."

Other sites I maintain come up with a login/password dialogue box.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Thanks for the tips. I looked at all the articles and implemented the first
one (prompt for password). That didn't help. I didn't implement the other
ones since I am able to already edit and update other web sites and don't
think there's a registry problem, etc.

Do I need to specify a server name or location other than simply
"www.nceft.org"? If so, where do I get that name or location?

Thanks.

Use either http://www.nceft.org or http://nceft.org

Most domain name servers will recognize either one and point FrontPage to
the right place.

Tried both and same response.

I am also trying to contact other people who have accessed this site in the
past.

Do I need to ftp the site to my PC, work on it there and then try to publish
my updates?

Thanks. You guys are great in offering help. You rock!

That site doesn't appear to have FP extensions, if so you can't open it to
edit live or use the Publish via http:// method. You'd have to use ftp
down, edit, ftp up.

Try opening the site in Internet Explorer and then in IE click File > Edit
with FrontPage.

See what happens.

Yup, that was the problem. Also helps to get the correct ftp site, host
address and password!!! After getting the correct information, I was able to
ftp down, edit and then ftp up.

Thanks.
