I am running Windows 2003 Standard Edition with Exchange 2003 SP1 installed.
I created a new counter log in Performance Logs and Alerts. When I try to
start the log, I get the following error message " The test log or alert has
not started. Refresh the log or alert list to view current status....For
further information see the troubleshooting section in the online help." In
the Application Log, I get the following event:
Source: SysmonLog
Event ID: 2003
Description: Unable to open the Performance Logs and Alerts configuration.
This configuration is initialized when you use the Performance Logs and
Alerts Management Console snapin to create a Log or Alert session.
Any ideas as to what is causing the error?
