I have pst file (4692000 KB) that I want to open in my MS outlook. I went to
File--open---and chose the file from it's location in the c drive.

At that time I get a message 'File access is denied. You do not have
permission required to access the file c:\filename.pst'.

Pl help.

Is the read-only file attribute set on that file?

In addition to Vanguard's reply;
You really should not store any files directly in the root of a drive. Move
the file to for instance \My Documents\Outlook\filename.pst
