Unable to open multiple IE windows

In the last 24 hours my computer stopped allowing me to open multiple IE
windows at the same time. Has anyone heard of this?

windows at the same time. Has anyone heard of this?

Go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced.
Uncheck "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts".

Also, if you have Yahoo Companion, Google toolbar, MSN toolbar, a firewall,
Earthlink (or another pop-up blocker) My IE2 (a shell for IE) etc.
Yahoo Companion is a very common cause.

You'll have to turn off the feature that's blocking new windows or, perhaps,
uninstall the program (especially uninstall Yahoo Companion).

With some programs of this type, using Ctrl+click or Shift+click will allow
a new window.

If you're *sure* that another program isn't causing this, these links may

Thank you for responding - I found this answer in a previous posts and tried
it. It did not work. I'm not running any new software, not have I
downloaded anything else but an update to Flash in the past week. I ran
spybot, ad-adware and Norton Antivirus as well. ???

I had the same problem, but found Frank's information to be good.
I tried the link below and followed the instructions, not sure which one
worked but one did.

use.

I have been struggling with this problem for 2 weeks. I read every single
post and tried everything.
I have removed all tools bars (google, google search) and kept trying
....nothing worked. I just removed yahoo tool bar and now i can have multiple
windows.

i hope it works for you, too.
