Unable to open Internet Explore 7, but it doesn't start.

I click on my IE icon and it starts for a split second and then stops. I can
see it in task manager for just a second. I've uninstalled and reinstalled,
but the same thing is happening.

If I type iexplore in "run" the same thing happens. Any ideas?

Please try the IE7 group.
The recommended newsgroup is microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

In a proper newsreader:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

If you must use a web interface:

Try this: Go into Control Panel-Internet Options and change your homepage
to 'Use Blank'. I had the same thing happen and after I did this the
problem went away and IE7 would load. I then went to the page I wanted as
my homepage and clicked 'Use Current'. OK after that.
