Hi All,

I'm new to Terminal Services. Here's the problem I'm
having. (W2k TS) 2 employees using wyse terminals cannot
open gif, jpg etc file types. They receive "no file
format information could be found in the registry."
However, I can open them as administrator and it uses IE
as the default program. It's obvious it's a permissions
problem but i am unable to find the rule. Any help would
be appreciated.

This means that there is no global file association for gif and
jpg file types and the users are not allowed to set one. That is
in itself by design and a good thing, since their choice would
affect all other users of the TS.

Have a look at this article, set the desired file associations and
then turn the option off again, to protect your TS.

If you want these files to be opened in Photo Editor, check this
