Unable to open folders

I have an Exchange 2003 server - Windows 2003 Sp1 and Exchange SP2. It is a
domain controller and also has ISA 2004 on it.

I have a load of XP clients working fine.

I have two member servers - both running Windows 2003 Sp1 with Outlook 2003
installed on them (one is a terminal server which is why I want this working).

Logged in as administrator Outlook comes up with "Cannot start MS Office
Outlook. The Set of Folders cannot be opened" - and then exits the
application.

I thought this was a permsssions problem but it isn't.

If I set up the MAPI profile to use personnal folders as the delivery
location I can start outlook. If I click on the Adminisrator mailbox it says
"The connection to the MS Exchange server is unavailable".

If I click again it says "Unable to display the folder. MS Office Outlook
could not access the specified folder location".

If I wait and click again it'll work.

It's as if when going straight for the abmin inbox it's just too quick and
outlook gives up and exits. If you give it a bit more time but opening
something else first it works.

There seems to be a timing problem.

Please help as my brain is beginning to ache.

Hi
Just to let you know I have the same problems but I have found something
even more strange, which may help someone work out what is going on.....
Login as a user and configure outlook to open a different users mailbox, it
will ask for user name and password for this other user, but..... Outlook
will now work OK for that user. Still can't get your own mail though!

Just solved the problem!!
When setting up Outlook use more settings then select the security tab and
tick the encrypt data between microsoft outlook and microsoft exchange server.
Sorted.
