Unable to open "Disk Cleanup"

When attempting to run Disk Cleanup I received the
following message: "An unexpected error has occurred
in "MpfTray.exe". Info saved in: "C\PROGRAM~1
\McAfee.com\PERSON~1\MpfTray.Errors.txt". In attempting
run Disk Cleanup, it freezes after approx one minute.
 
Hi Mike,

Due to the name of the application in which the error is occurring
(MpfTray.exe) and the path to where the error log is kept, I would suspect
that it is McAfee Personal Firewall that has issues with Disk Cleanup (and
perhaps other disk utilities that you may run, such as Defragmenter). Before
running an application such as Disk Cleanup, disable the personal firewall.
If you have an "always on" broadband connection to the internet you should
disconnect the modem from the computer (disconnect while the computer is
powered off) prior to disabling the firewall.
