When I attempt to open Outlook 2000 I get the
enssage "Unable to open default e-mail folders. The
Microsoft Exchange Server computer not available. Either
there are network problems or the MS Exchange Server
computer is down for maintenance".

This has happened overnight and no changes have been made
to the server or network settings. I can access the
server for all other uses.

I am using Windows 2000 server.

Any ideas?

Recreate/Add a mailprofile that is also configured with that very same
Exchange server to see whether you can connect properly to the server.
