Unable to Open Crystal Rpt Downloads

I am having great difficult with vba code previously written ini excel 2000, in excel 2002 because in 2002, when I attempt to open a file I downloaded from Crystal Reports in Excel format. Excel decides automatically that there is an error in the Spreadsheet (tab name) and needs to repair it and also changes the name of the darn file.

How do you stop this? I just want it to open like it always has and I fix everythig through code.
