Unable to modify Resources in Device Manager, "File Class Action Lawsuit"

For those of you that have seen you can no longer modify
the resources in the Device Manager for Sharing/Conflicts,
you should consider the facts. Microsoft has changed
their KB Articles at least 3 times on how to do this. The
first one did not work, the 2nd one told you to reinstall
WinXP and choose Standard PC HAL over ASPI HAL. Now they
are saying it is not recommended to reinstall with
Standard PC HAL. They do not seem to understand that DELL
is shipping out computers that are slow and full of
conflicts, as are other OEM's. They are sharing IRQ's
when some of the newer Motherboards have IRQ's numbered
into the 20's, over the old (0-15)traditional
availabilities. They are sharing I/O Ports, and Physical
Memory Addresses, something that should never be allowed!
This is why you have a slow dog for a computer now,
because of WinXP and Microsoft releasing XP before it had
the problems resolved. Suggest everyone file a class
action lawsuit against Microsoft, demanding they refund
all monies paid for XP and provide another O.S. free of
charge! This will teach Bill Gates a valuable lesson, and
maybe next time, he will release an operating system after
it is ready, not before. If you resolve all conflicts,
you will have a fast computer, at least with Win98SE, that
was possible with at least I/O Ports, and Physical Memory
Addresses!

It is obvious by your comments the two of you have absolutely no experience
in developing, engineering, manufacturing and marketing any computer
hardware or software products. Both of you are spouting emotional gibberish.
If you have problems, tackle them one at a time, post them in news groups
and stay calm.
Each of you should attempt to write a little program and try to do it error
free.

Whom ever wrote this reply, hasn't the remote idea of how
to solve a problem. He states we are "spouting emotional
gibberish". If he was worthy of his comments, and even
had a hinkering of a solution that Microsoft doesn't, he
would of put his email address on here and discussed it
like an intelligent human being. I will say it again,
when Microsoft took out the ability to Change Resources in
the Device Manager of Windows XP, they did the biggest
error in history of developing an Operating System (WinXP)
worthy of being released to the public. If you knew
anything at all about a computer, which it is obvious you
don't, you would not be spouting off about something you
know nothing about. You are probably one of those
blundering idiots that just lives with his problems, and
can not solve them. I bet you have sharing conflict in
your computer and can't resolve them, not if your using
WinXP, you can't. If the box in the Device Manager "Use
Automatic Settings" is greyed out, you can not uncheck it
and modify the Resources!!! What part of this injustice
don't you understand? This is what seperates the men from
the boys, being able to resolve sharing conflicts, which
results in an extremely stable and fast computer. This is
step one of setting up any computer. Or did you not take
Computer Tech 101? I can tell you fella, I have built and
serviced a lot of computers, and I will never build a
system for anyone and install WinXP on it, until they re-
enable the ability to change the resources manually in the
Device Manager. Don't you know you can never share a
Physical Memory Address ever? Don't you know there is
never any reason to share a I/O Port? Like I said,
sharing a IRQ is bad enough and just slows a computer
down, but sometimes you have no choice with sharing an
IRQ, but with every other Windows Version, you are able to
resolve the conflicting resources, not with WinXP, it is
GREYED OUT, UNACCESSIBLE!!! You either do not know how to
really resolve problems on a PC, or you were the
blundering idiot that developed, engineered, manufactured,
or marketed WinXP!!! I wrote this article in hopes that
someone at Microsoft who give a crap, might just be
ashamed of themselves and come up with a solution. I
further wrote this article in hope that enough people read
it and either give Microsoft an attempt to fix this
injustice, or start Class Action Lawsuits to force
Microsoft into refunding money for WinXP and giving people
a free copy of Win98SE, probably one of the most stable
versions of Windows they every released.

Add to this the fact that the only way you can solve a problem is by
changing resources leads me to
think not much of YOUR technical abilities.

Excuse me people while I take one last stab at telling you
this person is a flake, he don't know jack squat. He
offers no help, only an attack on someone that has been
working with microsoft in a round about way to try to get
the issue resolved of "Changing Resources in WinXP Device
Manager" and to this day, they have not come up with one
working solution yet. I am not going to waste your time
attacking him, only to say, he obviously does not have an
answer, or he would of typed it. He has commented 3
times, and has said nothing, imagine that! Must be a real
top notch Computer Tech, is all I have to say on that.

He states if I knew as much as I said I knew about
computers, then I would change and modify the code. I
guess he must be one of those people that change other
programers codes on programs and sells them on the black
market, because it is obvious he does not know, or does
not care, that MODIFYING CODE IS ILLEGAL. Read the
License Agreement.

I never said I was a programer, nor do I want to be. I do
however know a good Operating System from a obviously bad
one. You will not see the amount of problems listed on
any other Windows Operating System, than what is shown on
this site alone, with WinXP. That should speak for
itself.

I don't have to defend my abilities either, lots of people
are very satisfied with them. Just don't allow anyone
that has a reply of modifying a programs code work on your
computer. You might just get your computer seized and end
up in jail.

Thank goodness the real truth speaks for itself, and those
of you with any form of intelligence surely can read
between his line and my lines and see who knows what they
are talking about.

Can you imagine solving Sharing Conflicts that your
computer may be shipped with from the manufacturer any
other way than using the Device Manager, one of its
primary features? Perhaps this person will finally tell
us all how he does it, but I doubt if he really has any
knowledge that will help us with anything, nor does he
want to, or he would have by now!
