Unable to make available offline

Since 2 weeks I am experiencing problems with making files available offline
on my laptop. I have a desktop and a laptop both working XP SP2 with a home
network.
Everything has worked fine up to about 2 weeks ago when I startde having
error messages when I added an additional shared directory: "unable to make
available offline - incorrect function".
In an attempt to fix it, I cleared my offline folder, diabled offline
feature, enabled it again, reset my home network on both PC's with a new
network name, diabled all firewalls (Windows firewall, Trendmicro firewall,
firewll in my router). Now I can not even synchronize one file !
Can somebody help me to get this feature running again ?
 
I already did that. The system worked perfectly for 6 months with router
firewall plus Trendmicro firewall on both PC's (Windows firewall disabled).

I tried to set up the system again with all firewalls disabled: same error
