Unable to logon due to incorrect password on computer account !!

All my NT4 workstation are now giving me an error stating
that they are unable to logon to the networkl because the
computer account is either missing or it has an incorrect
password.

Please indicate what could be problem. My 2000 machines
seems okay.

Have you tried "reset account"?. Go into ADUC, go to the
container or OU where the computer accounts are located,
right click one, select "reset account", reboot that
machine. Should resolve it. This usually indicates that
the secure channel with the DC has been corrupted or
broken.

However, please take a look in the event logs to see if
you are getting any error messages.

Also, install the Support Tools ( on the WIN2000 Server
CD or on the WIN2000 Service Pack CD in the Support |
Tools folder ) and run a DCDIAG /V...

To resolve th problem I suggest that you use netdom to reset the computer
accounts, however the fact that only NT 4 clients have this problem may
indicate that you may have changed the restrictanonymous setting so that it
is 2 . That will keep downlevel clients from setting up their secure
channels. If that is the case then you will need to change the value to 0

Try disjoining NT workstaiton from domain and rejoin it to the domain.
