There are three PCs(all WVTx86s)in my peer-to-peer type home network.
One of the PCs can not be logged on from either one of the other two
PCs. Between these two PCs there are no access problem. There is no
access problem for the problem PC to log on the other two PCs.
The error message displayed is as follows:

Logon unsuccessful.
Windows is anable to log you on.
Be sure that your user name and password are correct.

I tried both an individual user acouunt registered with the problem PC
and Administrator and its password for the problem PC but to no avail.

Please help.

Thank you very much for the reference link. Cause of the problem was
determined to be network type which was for some reason set for Public
Network. The problem was solved by changing it to Private Network.
Thanks again for your help.

Glad it worked out for you.
Don't lose that link; it is very handy!
Whack it in the favourites!

Churin, by default they are set to public*wi-fi hot spots like coffees hops,
airports, etc.

Mick Murphy;
Thanks for the info which obviously I was not aware of. For the other
two WVT PCs in the network I did not manually set it to be Private but
at some point after they were installed, a some kind of wizard was
launched at each of those OSes and the network type must have been sort
of automatically set as Private.
The entire page of the link you posted has been saved for my future
reference.
Thanks again for your help.
