Recently, I asked the members of this board to help me restore my computer to
a previous Windows Installation after I installed Windows.

The problem now is that I am unable to log in to my computer. When I went to
go restore my computer all of the codes worked except: ren "Documents and
Settings" "Documents and Settings.Vista"; I think this may have been the
problem.

I considered just re-installing Windows, but I thought the old files would
be saved as Windows.old and would end up replacing the files I was attempting
to restore.

Help?

No one can tell what you are talking about. Windows? There is no folder
for Documents and Settings in Vista. Vista uses the User folder. Documents
and Settings is a pointer file only to facilitate those legacy programs that
are coded to the Documents and Settings folder and deposits any items
created in the User folder.
