Unable to Install

Once I download windows defender and I click run, I recieve the error mssage,
"INVALID MENU HANDLE." Any suggestions to fix this problem?

We need more info. Just out of interest. What version of Windows are you
using? Please provide any info. to give you the right solution. Service
pack?? etc. etc

Thanks for your help, I am using windows xp home edition service pack 2. I
also installed microsoft anti spyware several months ago without a problem. I
noticed that if I click the uninstall icon in the microsoft anti spyware
folder nothing happens. I went into add remove programs it says, "The windows
Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are running
Windows in safe mode, or if the windows Installer is not correctly installed.
Contact your support personnel for assistance." However, if I scroll down in
the add remove programs I see that I have Windows Installer 3.1 (kb893803). I
hope this info helps. Thanks again for your response.

Hi Ali,

Use this tool KB 290301 be very carefull, read the page, and hopefully you
will unistall Beta 1.
