Installation program hangs up almost in the begining of installation process, when copying files. After FAT32 is copied, the screen become dark with blinking cursor in upper left corner of the screen. I waited one hour - noting changes. Tried many times, cleen install, upgrade from previos system - the same. Installation CD is OK.
My hardware:
Motherboard: DFI AK75-EC
CPU: AMD DURON 800
RAM: NCP DIMM 133 128Mb
Video card: NVIDIA GeForce 2MX/MX400
HDD: Seegate Barracuda 7200
CD-ROM: Teac CD-RW

Thank you.

Turn off all hardware in the BIOS and yank all cards except mouse, keyboard, video, and hard drive/CD (if installing from CD). Try again.

If you have onboard video as well yank the main video card too.

You turn on/put back after installing XP.

I did that - no result, the same. Before I tried to install from floppy - exactly the same, every time. May be it's not enough of RAM, 128 Mb?

Thank you.

disconnect all USB devices; if you have a USB mouse, switch to a regular
one for the install.

No USB devices, mouse. Only necessary hardware for install
