I get the following message:
Symantec and Norton applications ver. 2006 and below

I have uninstalled all Symantec products. I still get the above message and
can't progress beyond.

Has anyone seen this? Any Idea what it is looking for or how to get around
it?
Thanks.

You are doing an upgrade?

If you were doing a clean install you would boot from the CD/DVD Drive with
the Vista disk in it, reboot, delete the existing XP? partition, and carry on
with install.

There is a removal tool at Symantec's website(for what it is worth) to
remove most remains of Norton.

You can also go into your C: Drive, delete files found in the Norton and
Symantec folders.
It takes a few moments as you have to delete them one at a time, as you are
denied access to a couple of files to delete.

Symantec's way to keep their hand in your wallet!

Thanks for your help. There were about a dozen files and folders scattered
around. The installation is underway.
