unable to install programs

i try to install from a cd and get this unable to
create target directory you must be able to create files
in the program files directoy to install this product
how do i fix this
please help

Logon as Administrator or under an account that is in the Administrators
group. They have the privileges needed to install software. Apparently
whatever account you are logging under does not have permission to
install/uninstall software.
