Unable to install new hardware devices

I am hoping that somebody will be able to help me. Until recently I could
install new hardware connected via USB ports no problem. However recently I
have had problems installing mobile phones and more recently a USB Bluetooth
stick.

Having loaded the software I get the ‘found new hardware’ message box as you
would expect but then I get an error message saying that

‘Cannot install this hardware

There was a problem installing this hardware

An error occurred during the installation of the device

The data is invalid’.

I can only think that there is a problem within my windows set up rather
than with the individual hardware devices.

Any help would be most appreciated.

I received an e-mail to say that I had a reply to this post but I cannot
access it. Sorry new to the forum. Clicked on the link but it came up blank

I see no current reply in the thread. I suspect that the "web interface"
that you are using, was "tripped" by something else.
