Unable to install HP Deskjet 840c or hp office jet v40

Toshiba Satellite A25 Laptop attacked by blaster w32 worm
which was subsequently removed.
I am now unable to reinstall either of the above printers.
Error messages received ndicate printer not found, RPC
server not available, unable to complete installation.
 
From the command prompt type

sfc /scannow

and hit enter - note the SPACE between the c and the /

After it's finished, reboot. You should now have everything back again.
