Are you dual booting on the computer? Or did you just copy the message
store folder from another computer to this one? If so, and you used a CD to
transfer the DBX files, you will have to copy them from CD to a folder on
your existing hard drive, then select all of the DBX files in the folder and
clear the Read-Only attribute that was set when you copied them to a CD.
And while this may be the "appropriate forum" for your question, there have
been many postings from others who are also using Windows Mail, and Windows
Mail Desktop Beta (which is a separate program), and we have posting from
people asking about Windows Live Mail. So please don't fly off on a high
horse when basic questions about operating sytem, and version of Mail
program are asked. They are asked only so that we can better help you.
