Unable to get RTL8139 into work

Hi,

I am using RTL8139 NIC for my home networking. Somehow,
after upgrading my OS, I am constantly getting an
indication that the device is not working properly with
Code 10 indication. I tried any version of drivers but
could not get back the NIC to work properly. Any
suggestion ?

Hi,

I have already done it and always it comes back with Code
10 error. Yes, XP has this driver.

What this code 10 stands for ?

Maybe this NIC is just not being detected properly
Does this NIC work properly if installed in another computer?
If not, then it's a hardware problem with that NIC
If it does work properly in another computer then maybe this computer
needs a BIOS update
