Unable to get new definitions

I've just downloaded WD to 2 computers. One has updated fine, the other
running identical software (Win XP with SP2 and fully up to date according to
Win update - tried that too) won't update. I've been to FAQ page and tried
running the CMD prompt that has been sugested, but I still can't get the new
updates. Unlike everyone else, it seems, I don't get an error - just my
definitions were created on 25/1/06. I've got WD version 1.1.1347.0, engine
version 1.1.1303.0, definition version 1.0.0.0. I'd be greatful for any
suggestions, Thanks

did you try a quick scan and update from Help about check for updates?

Is it clear that Windows Update is working? If you go to add or remove
software, and check the box at the top to "show updates" and compare say,
the last few updates listed to the "good" machine--does it look like they
are all there?

Run Windows Update from Internet Explorer, Defender definitions apear as
part of the updates.

It worked for me, hope it helps
