Unable to get maximum viewability

Unable to get maximum screen viewability on some window
sites. Have 2 computers - can get maximum view when
using older computer loaded with Windows 98 but not on
new computer with Windows XP. Tried switching monitors
but problem exists with new computer/Windows XP. The
view on the older computer fills the screen - the new
computer only gives me half the view.
 
compare display settings

make desired changes.
