This morning, I ran a windows update. The update review
determined that I needed to install some new windows
updates. I accepted that this needed to be done, and the
interface suggested that driver updates were undetermined
because of an "unknown error". The interface asked if I
would like to submit my problem to Microsoft support, and
I agreed. Then the support interface informed me that it
was "gathering information about my system". This
completed successfully. The next step was that the
interface was "sending information about my system". This
step failed. The final step was that there was an
Incident Id that was being created. On this last step,
the computer system never completed...only displayed the
word "working...". After 20 minutes, I refreshed the
screen, and found that I needed to resubmit my
information. I did go through each step once again, and
agreed for the support interface to check my system. Once
again, the support interface gathered my system
information, reported this step as complete, but failed to
send the information. Once again, there was a report
of "working" to generate an incident ID - which never was
generated. After 20 minutes or so, I rebooted my
computer. I then went to the newsgroup to post my issue.
I was unable to post the issue, but could surf to other
sites, and receive my email, etc. Finally, I refreshed my
screen, and lost internet connection completely. I was
unble to connect with any internet sites after refreshing
my screen. I have reported this on an email to this group
(from a different computer, and system), but it never
showed up here. Am I sure I correctly filled out and sent
the posting? Yes, definitely. And, I still have the
internet problem, my system is down and I do not
understand why, and it worked before went to the "updates
