During initial file creation in Visual Interdev, I am
propmted to install something from the Office 2000 Premium
SR-1 CD. I insert the CD and receive file not found.
When I look for the file myself, I am informed as to look
for the DATA1.MSI file in whichever directory I want to
specify.

I can not find this file on the CD, nor anywhere on my PC.

When I try to repair Office 2000, remove Office 2000, or
install it, I get the error "installation in progress".

Do I have to re-install everything from scratch?

Thanks

Mike

Mike,

Searching on Data1.msi I find a lot of Office articles that reference it but the artilce below was the best I found for information
on locating it. If you haven't already you may want to post this question newsgroup microsoft.public.office.setup.
