i am the main user of my computer, but recently my brother
has been using it online a lot. one of the sites he
visited had spyware on it, i have detection and removal
software, but there is one process that my computer will
not allow me to terminate so i can delete the application
file, is there some way other than the task manager (which
is what i have been trying to use) to end a process that
will override the computer so i can delete the file??

Use the Recovery Console to delete the file.

First, see tip 2615 in the 'Tips & Tricks' at http://www.jsiinc.com

Then boot the recovery console, tip 2037.
