Just bought a DSCPro camera off of EBAY

Finally got it to work, does download pictures just fine.

Problem: can't unplug it now. There is no icon to right
click on the lower right hand corner. I can't get any
menu to open up to offer the option to stop device
(unplug)

I don't wish to do damage to the computer, so it's still
plugged in.

Another thing: camera isn't with the scanner menu either.

When I power off and on the camera, XP does sing to let
me know, but there's still no icon!!

thanks!

With the camera "off". you can unplug the USB safely

need better explaination then, "camera isn't with the scanner menu either.

again, "When I power off and on the camera, XP does sing to let
me know, but there's still no icon!!

Are you talking about the "safely remove hardware" icon or the camera icon in "my computer"

for the "safe to remove" ico

try
right click on taskbar/propertie
click "customize" butto
click "restore defaults" butto

Note: Not all cameras show the "safely remove hardware" icon in the lower right corner when connect via USB using XP image devices drivers

I'm talking about the icon that is missing in the system
tray. There is no drive registered in MY COMPUTER
either. The scanner menu I was referring to is under
start<printers and faxes (button on left side says see
also Scanners and Cameras which opens up a menu where the
scanner is located.

All of this is irrelevant, however, since you have said
that with the camera "off" I can unplug safely.

Thanks for your help
Amy
