Hi all,

I have a problem ejecting my CDROM drive from my laptop as Windows keeps
prompting me that a program is still accessing it and I have closed all
programs.
I have tried to use a program called Filemon but this program doesn't
support CDROM drive.
Does anyone know any program to know what program is still accessing my
CDROM drive?

Thanks for the help in advance.

Cheers,
HS

HI Bob,

do you another solution which doesn't requires me to reboot my system as I
find it too troublesome to do it everytime I attached the usb device to my
system.

Thanks.

What USB device are you talking about?! You want to eject the CD-Rom
disk, press the eject button and remove the disk. If the drive is
confused an won't eject try rebooting. If this is a USB CD-ROM, eject
the disk and then unplug it.

In addition to BobI's suggestions, take a look at the Processes list in
Task Manager, when you've closed all programs and that eject problem is
occurring. Closing a program doesn't necessarily stop all its processes.
Some relict process may still have your drive open. You may have to do
some detective work to associate running processes with closed programs.
