Unable to Download A Zip File

I can't find anywhere else to post this question, so here goes.
I have been having a terrible time downloading zipped course files from this
site:
http://www.apcd-courses.com/
The files always end up being corrupted Zip files.
The web master of the site tells me - and I have no reason to doubt him -
that 100s of other people are successful in downloading courses from his
site.
So I am wondering why I can not download the files successfully.
One clue:
When I do successfully download ZIP files from FilePlanet and other sites,
the downloading
dialog box shows the file size and how much time is left, percentage
downloaded, etc.
When I download the ZIP files from the apcd-courses site that end up being
corrupted, there is no file size information in the dialog box and nothing
that tells how much time is left, etc. And sometimes the file does not
completely download, although I have no way of knowing for sure, because
there is nothing on the site that tells how big the files are.

I am wondering if my internet security software or my firewall is having
some effect, perhaps because it is not allowing me to download files that do
not have the size information up front. However, I am reluctant to disable
these items, even to test if the security is the problem. Is there a way to
tell them to allow downloads from this site even if the file size is not
known?

Anyone able to help, please let me know.
Dave
