in our environment, with AD (win2K3) and WinXP client, there are some
machines which we cannot connect via remote desktop. if you try to ping the
machine, the IP address is different as what is reflected when you do
ipconfig on the machine itself. Our DHCP is a 3rd party.. I think the
updates are not quickly reported to the DNS.. our AD DNS is just a forwarder
... we have another DNS for the bank, but in every machine, this AD DNS is the
primary.
