Unable to dl posts from News Groups

I managed to subscribe to some of my NG's and now I am getting an error
message saying unable to connect to server error code 800ccc0e.
Any ideas why all of a sudden I can't access the servers. TIA
 
It could mean the server is down, or else something on your PC
is blocking access. Are all NNTP servers inaccessible simultaneously?
For example, you could try the news server provided by your ISP as
well as msnews.microsoft.com.

Could Norton Protection Center, be the culprit.

Indeed. That possibility was covered under "else something on your PC
is blocking access."
