Unable to delete virus ifected file

Please help me. The Backdoor.Mprox virus has attacked my
WINNT\system32\kp.exe file. Norton Antivirus is unable to
delete this file. I cannot open the file. I get a
message that says that the file cannot be deleted because
it is either currently in use or write-enabled. If anyone
has any idea how I can go about removing this file from my
system please e-mail me with simple instructions. I am a
computer idiot. Thanks so much.

Here are the instructions from the Norton Site in link below. When you get a virus
and identify it always go to http://securityresponse.symantec.com/ and search by
name for instructions. -- Steve

Try deleting the file from the command window:

Run, CMD, >del c:\......\filename
