Unable to delete recurring appointments

Am trying to prevent reminders for a recurring
appointment from appearing each time I start Outlook.

Am using Outlook 2000 connected to exchange 5.5.

Have tried removing the recurrance and deleting the
original appointment.
However the reminders still appear each time I start
Outlook.
 
Try starting Outlook once with the /CleanReminders switch. If you need
help using Outlook command line switches, look here:
