I have a message in my INBOX which cannot be deleted/moved/forwarded etc. It
is not affecting me sending or receiving other mail. I moved all my INBOX
messages to a temporary folder (INBOX TEMP) except the one that I cannot move
and then went to the actual location of the INBOX folder (APP
DATA\LOCAL\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS MAIL\LOCAL FOLDERS\INBOX). There is only one
file appearing which is WINMAIL.FOL.
How can I delete this message which looks like it is in the INBOX but does
not appear as an .EML file?
Just before this problem I had the BSOG. I did a restore back to previous
day but that did not solve the problem.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Thanks for the excellent work around to eliminate my stuck message in the
INBOX.
Very thorough step by step process to follow.
I did take one shortcut in the Restore Messages step by selectively
importing the messages from the saved folder.
I had previously moved all messages from INBOX to another folder so I was
able to use the selective import process without importing the old INBOX and
everything worked fine.

I notice in WINDOWS MAIL folder now that there is no BACKUP folder or
MICROSOFT COMMUNITIES.
Is that going to cause problems?

The STATIONERY folder was also missing but I was able to copy that from a
2nd User that is set up on this PC.

Thanks again for your help.
