Unable to delete an old user

Pat

I am using XP Home on my laptop.

Users are an admin account and one user account for
connecting to the internet and everyday use.

I had a user account called 'tim' which I removed.
However, in the Documents and Settings folder there is a
folder named 'tim' which I can't delete, access, read nor
right to, even running as admin.

It's not causing any real problems it's just a pain
having it sitting there.

Any idaes how I can get rid of it.

Thanks

Pat

A better way to delete user profiles (the profile is what you are seeing in
Documents and Settings):

You must be logged on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators
group in order to complete this procedure. If your computer is connected to
a network, network policy settings may also prevent you from completing this
procedure.

1.
Open System in Control Panel.

2.
On the Advanced tab, under User Profiles, click Settings.

3.
Under Profiles stored on this computer, click the user profile you want
to delete, and then click Delete.

Note

. To open System, click Start, click Control Panel, click Performance
and Maintenance, and then click System.

Sorry I didn't explain that that's how the user was
removed. My problem is that for some reason a folder of
the users name has been left behind. It's an empty folder
but I can't access or delete it even logged on as admin.

I've added and removed other users before and after this
one with no probs. Just can't delete this odd folder.

Thanks

Pat
