Stuck Again

While making a spreadsheet, I created a macro to throw in
test data. I have now completed the spreadsheet, and do
not need the macro to be "assigned" to the spreadsheet.

I am unable to delete the macro, as the option to delete
is "ghosted". It seems that once you have created a
macro, that you are stuck with always having one macro for
that sheet.

Is there any way at all to remove/delete the macro so that
when I open the spreadsheet I am not prompted with the
window asking whether to enable or disable macros.

Thanks.

you can not delete a macro in a hidden workbook. If your
macro is saved to a hidden workbook (ie your personal
macro workbook if you havent' unhidden it) then you will
not have the open to edit or delete the macro from the
tols>Macro dialog box.

1. go to tools>macro>visual basic editor
2. go to tools>macro>macros
3. The same dialog box comes up, but suddenly you can
delete the macros. (I believe this is a safety feature so
you can't inadvenrtantly delete macros)

Another option would be to go Window>unhide and unhide the
macro workbook. Then the usual tools>macro>macro dialog
box would permit you to delete.
