Unable to connect to a shared folder;

Here is my issue;

A friend of mine has a XP Pro system and shared a folder
with all firewalls off. I want to connect to it over the
internet with my XP Pro system but cannot seem to get
connected to that share. I can see his IP and we can do
netmeeting, all works fine except his share or for him to
connect to my shared folder with my firewall off and get
the same issue. If I try it from another system it does
work.

Any suggesions we can try are appreciated.
